Preliminary Exam
This is the first screening stage, conducted as an objective-type, multiple-choice Computer-Based Test (CBT) worth 100 marks. It covers general studies, reasoning ability, and basic engineering trends. The marks in this paper are only qualifying and are not counted toward the final merit list.

Main Examination
Candidates who clear the prelims qualify for the technical Mains Examination. This stage consists of an objective test worth 300 marks specifically evaluating core Mechanical and Automobile Engineering knowledge. The final merit list and selection are heavily based on the marks secured in this exam.

Physical and Medical Standards Test
Since it is an RTO field post, shortlisted candidates must satisfy the mandatory physical qualification standards specified by the department.
